Ad Van Hassel

Bio

Ad van Hassel was born on April 26, 1953, in Roosendaal, Netherlands. He began his painting journey in 1980 after dedicating several years to honing various creative disciplines.

In 1983, he established two exclusive galleries in the Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in Amsterdam. Since 1990, Ad has focused on screen printing, doing so for both his own work and for other artists, serving as the official printer for Herman Brood for over 12 years.

He has collaborated with and earned the respect of artists like Corneille, Jan Cremer, and Rob Scholte for his expertise in the field.

Following the passing of Herman Brood and Corneille, Ad turned his attention to a new technique: CNC laser cutting and milling of different materials. This innovative approach led to the creation of his vibrantly colored sculptures, banknotes, and Pop Art candy.

His artwork is highly sought after, with unique pieces being sold globally through galleries and reaching both businesses and individual collectors.
