Laurence Nolleau
Laurence started off by crafting eye-catching portraits using knife painting, but her urge to breathe life into her creations pushed her to explore new avenues.
Fascinated by how Optical and Kinetic Art can impact viewers, she took on fresh challenges and in 2016, she introduced her first interactive wall sculptures made from mirror-polished stainless steel.
Her journey continues as she seeks to blend optical art with sculpture in a quest for pure aesthetics. In 2019, Laurence wowed everyone with her new Op art sculptures inspired by Victor Vasarely’s techniques.
These pieces play with the observer’s visual perception, appearing as photos from a distance but revealing intricate lines of metal up close.
With a unique touch, she meticulously sculpts each metal blade, achieving a stunning effect that adds realism and striking graphic clarity to her portraits.
